Advisory that earns
its place at the table.
Choosing an ESG advisor is not just a question of price or methodology. It is a question of whether the working relationship will actually move your organisation forward — honestly and at a pace that sticks.

Six qualities that shape every engagement we take on.
Baseline clarity before roadmaps
We insist on understanding where you are before suggesting where to go. An accurate baseline prevents wasted effort on priorities that do not reflect reality.
Malaysia-specific knowledge
Our work is grounded in the Malaysian regulatory context — Bursa Sustainability Reporting, PDPA compliance and the practical realities of local supply chains and stakeholder expectations.
Paced to your capacity
We do not push engagements to run faster than your team can absorb. Scope, timeline and deliverables are agreed in advance and respected throughout.
Honest, unvarnished findings
We present gaps and uncertainties alongside strengths. Advisors who only confirm what a client wants to hear provide limited value.
Ownership stays with your team
All frameworks, strategies and outputs belong to you. We do not create dependency — we equip your people to continue the work independently.
Transparent, fixed-scope pricing
Each engagement is priced in advance. You know what you are paying, what you will receive and when. No retainer creep, no undisclosed add-ons.
Advisory grounded in ESG practice
Our team's background spans environmental management, corporate reporting and stakeholder communications. We bring working knowledge of GRI Standards, the Bursa Malaysia Sustainability Reporting Guide and TCFD-aligned disclosure approaches — not simply general consulting experience applied to a sustainability brief.
This means our assessments are contextually informed. We understand what Bursa-listed companies are required to disclose, what supply chain partners in export markets are beginning to ask for, and where smaller organisations can reasonably focus their early attention without overstretching.
What this means in practice
Our working method
Structured, but not rigid
Our engagements follow a clear process — briefing, data review, assessment, delivery — but we adapt how we work to fit your organisation's schedule, communication style and decision-making rhythm.
We use collaborative working tools and keep documentation simple. Every finding is written up clearly so your team can refer back to it without needing us in the room.
Accessible and responsive throughout
Engagements are handled by the same small team from first call to final delivery. You will not be passed between consultants or find that the people who briefed the work are not the ones doing it.
We are reachable during normal office hours and respond to client queries within one business day. For the Retainer arrangement, between-session guidance is included as part of the scope.
Service commitments
Verdua vs typical ESG advisory
Common patterns in the market compared with our approach — without naming specific firms.
| Area | Typical Advisory | Verdua |
|---|---|---|
| Scope definition | Broad mandates, scope can expand | Fixed scope agreed before work starts |
| Baseline work | Often skipped; roadmap produced from assumptions | Baseline review is a core, standalone service |
| Reporting tone | Tends toward positive framing for stakeholder relations | Honest assessment including gaps and uncertainties |
| Local context | International frameworks applied without localisation | Bursa guidelines and Malaysian regulatory context built in |
| Client capacity | Assumes dedicated sustainability team or budget | Designed for firms without specialist in-house resource |
| Pricing | Hourly or variable; final cost uncertain | Fixed price per engagement, published upfront |
| Post-engagement | Deliverables require advisor to interpret and maintain | All outputs owned and operable by client independently |
Features not commonly found together
No greenwashing, by design
Our advisory ethos explicitly resists overstating environmental or social performance. We help clients say what they know with precision — not inflate it for stakeholder consumption. This matters because credibility, once lost, is difficult to rebuild.
Leadership workshop in the Roadmap engagement
The ESG Roadmap & Reporting Framework includes a leadership workshop as a standard component. This ensures that the people who will own ESG decisions are briefed, aligned and able to ask the questions that matter — not just given a document to ratify.
Standalone entry-level service
The Baseline Review (RM 680) is a self-contained service. You do not need to commit to a larger programme to access professional ESG assessment. This makes it accessible for organisations testing the water or working within tight budgets.
Retainer without lock-in pressure
The Advisory Retainer is scoped for three to six months with a clear brief. We do not use rolling open-ended arrangements to maintain revenue. When the agreed scope is complete, the engagement ends cleanly — you choose whether to continue.
