Advisory built on care
for the long term.
We are a Kuala Lumpur advisory practice focused on helping Malaysian organisations approach sustainability with honesty, patience and substance.
← Back to HomeWhere Verdua comes from
Verdua started from a straightforward observation: many Malaysian organisations want to take sustainability seriously but feel uncertain about where to begin. The subject is filled with frameworks, acronyms and expectations that can make it feel unapproachable — particularly for firms that are still building the foundations.
We set up as a small, focused practice to make that first move easier. Rather than offering sweeping transformation programmes, we concentrate on the practical work of understanding where an organisation actually stands, and helping it take sensible steps from there.
The name Verdua draws from a quiet image of managed, productive land — a grove tended over time, with purpose and care. That is the spirit we bring to advisory work: steady progress, honest assessment, and respect for the pace at which real organisations can absorb change.
We are based in Kuala Lumpur and work primarily with businesses across Peninsular Malaysia — from mid-sized manufacturers to professional services firms preparing their first formal ESG disclosures.
Our Mission
To help Malaysian organisations understand and articulate their sustainability position honestly — without exaggeration or unnecessary complexity.
Our Focus
Substance over surface. We prioritise approaches that hold up to scrutiny over those that look good in a summary slide.

How we work
Our advisory practice is shaped by a set of clear operating principles that we apply consistently across every engagement.
Confidentiality
Client data, operational details and strategic information are handled with full discretion. We do not share or reference client work without explicit permission.
Balanced Assessment
We present findings as they are — including gaps and areas of uncertainty — rather than shaping assessments to meet expectations.
Scoped Engagements
Every engagement has a defined scope, clear deliverables and an agreed timeline. We do not expand work without discussion and agreement.
Framework Literacy
Our work draws on current ESG frameworks including GRI, Bursa Malaysia Sustainability Reporting Guide and the TCFD recommendations where relevant.
Client Ownership
All outputs, frameworks and strategies developed during an engagement are the client's to use, adapt and build on independently.
Data Privacy
We comply with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) in handling all personal and organisational information shared during our engagements.
Sustainability advisory for Malaysian organisations
Verdua is a business-to-business advisory practice based in Kuala Lumpur, offering sustainability and ESG-related services to Malaysian organisations navigating early-stage or developing sustainability programmes. Our work covers three core areas: helping organisations understand their current environmental and social position through a structured baseline study; assisting them in shaping a realistic roadmap and disclosure approach; and providing sustained advisory support through a retainer arrangement as programmes mature.
The Malaysian ESG landscape has shifted considerably in recent years. Bursa Malaysia's enhanced sustainability reporting requirements, growing interest from institutional investors in non-financial performance, and supply chain expectations from international partners have together created a real need for organisations — including smaller and mid-sized businesses — to take a considered approach to ESG. At the same time, many firms lack the internal capacity to navigate frameworks, assess their own position accurately, or set priorities that reflect their actual situation.
Verdua fills that gap with advisory work that is practical and accessible. We do not assume prior knowledge or existing systems. We start from where an organisation is and work outward from there — building clarity before adding complexity, and keeping the work proportionate to what a management team can realistically absorb alongside normal operations.
Our team brings experience across environmental management, corporate reporting and stakeholder communications, with specific knowledge of the Malaysian market and its regulatory and investor expectations. We operate from offices in Menara Worldwide, Jalan Bukit Bintang, and engage primarily with businesses across Peninsular Malaysia.
